Count the total number of lug bolts or lug holes
For 4-lug, 6-lug, or 8-lug wheels, measure from the center of one lug hole to the center of the opposite lug hole
For 5-lug wheels, measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the farthest opposite lug hole
Record the measurement in inches or millimeters
Match the lug count and measurement to the wheel bolt pattern format, such as 5×114.3 or 4×100
Verify the pattern with the vehicle’s specifications before buying wheels or adapters
