Turn off the shower and let the water stop completely
Unscrew the shower head from the shower arm
Locate the flow restrictor inside the inlet opening or handle connection
Use a small flathead screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, or tweezers to remove the restrictor
Remove any rubber washer, plastic insert, or screen assembly holding it in place if needed
Reinstall the washer and screen if they are separate from the restrictor
Screw the shower head back onto the shower arm
Turn the water on and check for leaks
Reinstall or replace the restrictor if required by local regulations or plumbing rules
