Wash the strawberry under cold running water
Pat it dry with a clean paper towel
Hold the strawberry by the stem
Remove the green leafy top with a small knife or by twisting it off
Place the strawberry on a cutting board
Slice it lengthwise into thin pieces
Keep the slices even for uniform size
