Wash your hands first
Remove any damaged or moldy strawberries
Keep the stems on until after washing
Rinse strawberries under cool running water
Gently rub each strawberry with your fingers
Do not use soap, bleach, or detergent
Drain the strawberries in a colander
Pat them dry with a clean paper towel or cloth
Remove the stems after washing if desired
Store washed strawberries in the refrigerator if not eating immediately
