Turn on the device you want to control
Insert fresh batteries into the RCA universal remote
Press and hold the device button you want to program
While holding the device button, press and hold the Power button
Wait until the LED light turns on and stays on
Release both buttons
Enter the 3-digit or 4-digit code for your device brand
Wait for the LED light to turn off
Test the remote functions
If the code does not work, repeat with another code for your device brand
If no code works, use code search mode
Press and hold the device button and Power button again
Release when the LED stays on
Press the Power button repeatedly until the device turns off
Press Enter or Stop to save the code
Test the remote again
If needed, repeat for each device you want to program
