Turn on the device you want to control
Insert fresh batteries into the RCA universal remote
Find the remote’s code list for your device brand
Press and hold the device button on the remote
While holding the device button, press and hold the Power button
Wait until the remote’s LED stays on, then release both buttons
Enter the 3-digit code for your device brand
If the LED turns off, the code was accepted
Point the remote at the device and press Power to test it
If the device does not respond, repeat with the next code
If no code works, use auto code search
Turn on the device
Press and hold the device button and Power button until the LED stays on
Release both buttons
Press and release the Power button repeatedly until the device turns off
Press Enter or Stop to save the code
Test the remote again
If needed, repeat the process for other devices
Replace the batteries if the remote does not respond properly
