Shuffle a standard deck of 52 cards.
Deal the entire deck evenly between 2 players face down.
Each player flips over the top card from their pile at the same time.
The player with the higher card wins and takes both cards, placing them at the bottom of their pile.
If the cards are equal (tie), start a “war”:
Each player places the next card(s) face down (typically 1 card) on the table.
Each player flips the next card face up.
The higher face-up card wins the war and takes all cards in the war pile.
If another tie occurs during a war, continue placing face-down cards and flipping face-up cards until a winner is determined.
Continue playing rounds until one player has all the cards.
The player who collects all cards wins.
