Pound the chicken breasts to even thickness if needed
Brush or rub with oil
Season with salt, pepper, and any desired spices
Place the chicken breasts in a single layer on the baking sheet or in the baking dish
Bake for 18 to 25 minutes, depending on thickness
Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F
Remove from the oven
Let the chicken rest for 5 to 10 minutes
Slice and serve
