Wash and scrub the potatoes
Dry the potatoes completely
Pierce each potato several times with a fork
Rub the potatoes with a little oil if desired
Sprinkle with salt if desired
Wrap each potato in foil or leave unwrapped
Place potatoes in the crock pot
Cover with the lid
Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours
Check for doneness with a fork
Serve immediately or keep warm in the crock pot
