Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C)
Pat the chicken breast dry with paper towels
Place the chicken breast on a baking sheet or in a baking dish
Brush with olive oil
Season with salt and pepper
Add any desired seasonings
Bake for 18 to 25 minutes, depending on thickness
Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
Remove from the oven
Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing
