Measure the brown rice
Rinse the rice until the water runs mostly clear
Add the rice to the rice cooker
Add water using the brown rice line or about 2 to 2.5 cups water per 1 cup rice
Close the lid
Select the brown rice setting if available
Start the cooker
Let the rice cook until the cycle finishes
Keep the lid closed during cooking
Let the rice rest for 10 to 15 minutes after cooking
Fluff the rice with a fork
Serve warm
