Rinse 2 cups sticky rice until the water runs mostly clear
Soak the rice in water for 4 to 8 hours, or overnight
Drain the rice well
Add the rice to a pot with 2 to 2 1/2 cups water
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat
Reduce to low heat and cover tightly
Cook for 12 to 15 minutes without stirring
Turn off the heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes
Fluff gently with a rice paddle or fork
Serve warm
