How To Descale A Keurig?

Empty the water reservoir

Remove the K-Cup pod holder (needle/holder assembly) if your model allows

Fill the reservoir with descaling solution (Keurig Descaling Solution) to the fill line

Add fresh water to the reservoir if your descaling solution requires dilution (follow the label)

Place a large mug or container on the drip tray

Start a brew cycle without a K-Cup pod (use the largest size setting)

Pour out the mug contents after each cycle

Continue running brew cycles until the reservoir is empty

Let the brewer sit for 30 minutes (or follow the descaling solution instructions)

Refill the reservoir with fresh water

Run additional brew cycles without a K-Cup until the reservoir is empty

Repeat with fresh water if needed until no descaling solution smell remains

Reinstall any removed parts (if applicable)

Run one final brew cycle with water only (optional, if your model recommends rinsing)

Wipe down the exterior and drip tray

Reassemble and run a few water-only brews if you notice any residue or taste
