Wash your hands
Soak a clean washcloth in warm water
Wring out the excess water
Fold the cloth into a comfortable size
Test the temperature on your wrist
Place the warm cloth on the affected area
Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes
Rewarm the cloth as needed
Repeat several times a day if needed
Use a clean cloth each time
Stop if the skin becomes too hot or irritated
