Plug the flash drive into your Mac’s USB or USB-C port
Check the Finder sidebar under Locations
Open Finder and look for the flash drive in the left panel
Open Disk Utility from Applications > Utilities
Check the Desktop for the drive icon if external disks are set to show there
Use Spotlight Search and type Disk Utility
Click the Apple menu and choose System Settings
Go to General > Login Items & Extensions if needed to review disk-related settings
Try a different USB port or adapter if the drive does not appear
Restart your Mac and reconnect the flash drive
Open Terminal and type `diskutil list` to see connected drives
