Insert the SD card into your Mac’s SD card slot or a card reader
Open Disk Utility
Select the SD card from the sidebar
Click Erase
Enter a name for the card
Choose a format
Choose a scheme
Click Erase again
Wait for the process to complete
Click Done
Eject the SD card safely
