Preheat the grill to medium heat
Clean and oil the grates
Place sausages on the grill over indirect heat if thick, or direct medium heat if thin
Turn sausages every few minutes
Grill until browned on all sides
Cook until the internal temperature reaches 160°F for pork or beef sausage, 165°F for poultry sausage
Move sausages away from flare-ups if needed
Avoid piercing the casings
Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes
Serve immediately
