Measure the window width and decide how far above and beyond the frame you want the rod
Mark the bracket locations with a pencil
Use a level to make sure the marks are even
Check for wall studs if possible
Drill pilot holes at the marked spots
Insert wall anchors if needed
Screw the brackets into place
Place the curtain rod onto the brackets
Attach the curtains to the rod
Secure the rod according to the bracket design
Adjust the curtains so they hang evenly
