Harvest spearmint in the morning after the dew has dried
Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears
Cut stems just above a leaf node
Take no more than one-third of the plant at a time
Harvest before the plant flowers for best flavor
Pick healthy, green stems and leaves
Remove any damaged or yellow leaves
Rinse the harvested mint gently if needed
Pat dry before storing or using
Store fresh sprigs in a damp paper towel in the refrigerator
Harvest regularly to encourage new growth
