How to Install a Bathroom Sink Faucet?

Turn off the hot and cold water supply valves

Open the faucet to relieve pressure and drain remaining water

Place a bucket or towel under the sink

Remove the old faucet supply lines

Disconnect the old faucet mounting hardware

Lift out the old faucet

Clean the sink surface and remove old sealant

Install the faucet gasket or apply plumber’s putty if required

Insert the new faucet into the sink holes

Secure the faucet from underneath with the mounting nuts or bracket

Tighten the hardware evenly

Connect the hot and cold supply lines to the faucet

Connect the supply lines to the shutoff valves

Tighten all connections with a wrench

Turn the water supply back on

Check for leaks at all connections

Tighten any leaking fittings

Run the faucet to flush out air and debris

Recheck for leaks after running water

Install the drain assembly if needed

Clean up the work area
