How To Make Crostini?

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)

Slice baguette into 1/2-inch (1–1.5 cm) pieces

Arrange slices on a baking sheet

Brush both sides lightly with olive oil

Bake 6–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp

Remove and cool slightly

Rub warm crostini with a cut garlic clove (optional)

Top with desired toppings, such as:

Tomato-basil: diced tomatoes, minced basil, olive oil, salt, pepper, balsamic (optional)

Ricotta-herb: ricotta, lemon zest, chopped herbs, olive oil, salt, pepper

Mushroom: sautéed mushrooms, garlic, thyme, parmesan, black pepper

Prosciutto-fig: fig jam, mascarpone or goat cheese, prosciutto, arugula (optional)

Avocado: mashed avocado, lime juice, chili flakes, salt, pepper

Serve immediately or return to oven 1–2 minutes if toppings need warming
