Crack 2 eggs into a bowl
Add 1/4 cup milk
Add a pinch of salt
Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Add 1 teaspoon sugar, optional
Whisk until combined
Heat a skillet or pan over medium heat
Add butter to the pan
Dip slices of bread into the egg mixture
Coat both sides without soaking too long
Place the bread in the hot pan
Cook until golden brown on one side
Flip and cook the other side until golden brown
Serve warm with syrup, fruit, or powdered sugar
