How To Make Quinoa?

Rinse 1 cup quinoa under cold water

Combine quinoa and 2 cups water or broth in a pot

Add a pinch of salt (optional)

Bring to a boil over high heat

Reduce heat to low and cover

Simmer 15 minutes

Turn off heat and let stand 5 minutes, covered

Fluff with a fork

Serve or cool for salads

Optional flavor: toast quinoa 2–3 minutes in a dry pot before adding liquid
