Buy whole chicken breasts
Rinse your hands and sanitize your cutting surface
Place the chicken breast on a clean cutting board
Locate the skin and any visible fat
Use a sharp knife to cut away the skin
Pull the skin back gently while trimming underneath
Remove any bones by cutting along the bone line
Slide the knife close to the bone to separate the meat
Lift the bone out once fully detached
Trim away any cartilage or connective tissue
Check for small bone fragments and remove them
Pat the chicken breast dry with paper towels
Store or cook the skinless boneless chicken breast as needed
