Choose your chicken pieces
Pat the chicken dry
Mix your marinade ingredients
Combine oil, acid, salt, and seasonings
Place chicken in a bowl or bag
Pour marinade over the chicken
Coat the chicken evenly
Cover and refrigerate
Marinate for 30 minutes to 24 hours
Turn the chicken occasionally if needed
Remove chicken from marinade before cooking
Discard used marinade or boil it before using as sauce
