Choose a clear glass container with an opening wide enough to work in
Gather small pebbles or gravel
Gather activated charcoal
Gather potting soil suitable for your plants
Choose small plants that fit the container
Clean and dry the container
Add a layer of pebbles at the bottom
Add a thin layer of activated charcoal
Add a layer of potting soil
Make small holes in the soil for the plants
Remove plants from their pots and loosen the roots
Place the plants into the holes
Fill in soil around the roots
Add a little water
Wipe the inside glass clean
Place the terrarium in indirect light
Water only when the soil starts to dry out
Trim plants as needed
Remove any dead leaves promptly
