Choose a healthy, non-flowering hibiscus stem
Take a 4–6 inch cutting from softwood or semi-hardwood growth
Cut just below a leaf node with clean, sharp pruners
Remove the lower leaves, leaving 2–3 leaves at the top
Dip the cut end in rooting hormone
Fill a small pot with moist, well-draining potting mix
Make a hole in the soil and insert the cutting
Firm the soil gently around the stem
Water lightly to settle the soil
Cover the pot with a clear plastic bag or humidity dome
Place the pot in bright, indirect light
Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy
Remove the cover briefly each day for airflow
Check for root growth after 4–8 weeks
Transplant the rooted cutting into a larger pot or garden bed
Pinch back new growth to encourage branching
