Score along both edges of the caulk with a utility knife or caulk removal tool
Use a caulk remover gel or softening solution if needed
Pry up loosened caulk with a plastic scraper, putty knife, or caulk tool
Pull out long strips by hand when possible
Scrape remaining residue from the surface
Use rubbing alcohol, mineral spirits, or adhesive remover for leftover film, if compatible with the surface
Wipe the area clean with a damp cloth
Let the surface dry completely before applying new caulk
