Assess the crack size and location
Do not repair if the crack is in the driver’s direct line of sight
Do not repair if the crack is longer than a few inches or reaches the edge of the windshield
Clean the windshield thoroughly
Dry the damaged area completely
Use a windshield repair kit
Place the repair device over the crack or chip
Inject resin into the damaged area
Allow the resin to cure as directed
Remove the repair device
Scrape off excess resin with a razor blade if needed
Polish the repaired area
Replace the windshield if the crack cannot be safely repaired
