How to Replace a Windshield?

Park the vehicle on a level surface and secure it

Remove windshield wipers, trim, moldings, and cowl panels

Protect the dashboard and interior with covers

Cut through the old urethane adhesive around the windshield

Remove the old windshield carefully with suction cups

Clean the pinch weld and remove all old adhesive and debris

Inspect the frame for rust, damage, or corrosion

Apply primer to the glass and pinch weld if required

Apply a continuous bead of automotive urethane adhesive

Set the new windshield into position using alignment guides

Press the windshield firmly into the adhesive

Reinstall moldings, trim, cowl panels, and wipers

Allow the adhesive to cure for the recommended time

Check for proper fit, leaks, and secure installation
