Disconnect the negative battery cable
Locate the camshaft sensor on the engine
Remove any engine covers or intake parts blocking access
Unplug the electrical connector from the sensor
Remove the retaining bolt or screws
Pull the old sensor straight out
Compare the old sensor with the new sensor
Lightly lubricate the new sensor O-ring if equipped
Insert the new sensor into place
Install and tighten the retaining bolt or screws
Reconnect the electrical connector
Reinstall any removed covers or intake parts
Reconnect the negative battery cable
Start the engine and check for warning lights or leaks
