Select the column you want to sort
Go to the Data tab
Click Sort A to Z for ascending order
Click Sort Z to A for descending order
If prompted, choose Expand the selection
Click Sort
For custom sorting, click Sort in the Data tab
Choose the column and sort order in the Sort dialog box
Click OK
