Sit down and keep the foot at a 90-degree angle
Start the wrap at the ball of the foot
Leave the toes exposed
Wrap around the foot once to anchor it
Bring the bandage diagonally across the top of the foot
Wrap around the ankle in a figure-eight pattern
Overlap each layer by about half the bandage width
Keep the wrap snug but not tight
Check that toes stay warm and pink
Continue wrapping up and around the ankle
Secure the end with clips or fasteners
Rewrap if there is numbness, tingling, or increased pain
