Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine
Open the hood and secure it
Locate the engine air filter housing
Release the clips, screws, or latches on the air box cover
Remove the air box cover
Take out the old air filter
Clean any dirt or debris from the air box
Insert the new air filter in the correct orientation
Reinstall the air box cover
Secure all clips, screws, or latches
Close the hood
Start the engine and check for proper installation
