Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C)
Wash and dry the small potatoes
Pierce each potato a few times with a fork
Toss the potatoes with oil and salt
Place them on a baking sheet in a single layer
Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on size
Turn them halfway through baking
Check for doneness with a fork or knife
Remove from the oven when tender
Serve hot
