Deal each player a stockpile of 30 cards for 2–4 players, or 20 cards for 5–6 players
Place the top card of each stockpile face up
Give each player a hand of 5 cards
Put the remaining cards in a draw pile
Start 4 shared build piles in the center, all empty
On your turn, draw until you have 5 cards in hand
Play cards from your hand, stockpile, or discard piles onto the build piles in ascending order from 1 to 12
Use Skip-Bo cards as wild cards for any number
Start a build pile with a 1 or a Skip-Bo card
After a pile reaches 12, remove it and start a new empty build pile
You may play multiple cards in a turn if they fit in sequence
Discard one card from your hand onto one of your 4 personal discard piles to end your turn
You may play from the top card of a discard pile on later turns
You may play the top card of your stockpile whenever it fits
The first player to empty their stockpile wins the game
