Identify your GPU model (Windows: Device Manager → Display adapters; NVIDIA/AMD: vendor software)
Download the latest driver from the GPU manufacturer site (NVIDIA/AMD/Intel) or use the vendor updater
Create a restore point (Windows: System Properties → System Protection → Create)
Download the driver package to your PC
Disconnect from the internet (optional but recommended)
Close all running apps
Run the driver installer as administrator
Choose installation options:
NVIDIA: “Custom” → select “Perform a clean installation” (if available)
AMD: “Factory Reset” (if available)
Intel: follow installer prompts
Reboot your PC when prompted
Verify the update (Device Manager or vendor control panel)
If issues occur, roll back:
Device Manager → Display adapter → Properties → Driver → Roll Back Driver (if available)
Or uninstall the new driver and install the previous version
