Let the engine cool completely
Locate the coolant reservoir or radiator cap
Check the coolant level against the MIN and MAX marks
Use the correct antifreeze type specified in the owner’s manual
Mix antifreeze with distilled water if required
Open the reservoir cap slowly
Pour the antifreeze mixture into the reservoir or radiator
Fill only to the recommended level
Close the cap securely
Start the engine and let it run briefly
Recheck the coolant level after the engine cools again
Top off if needed
Check for leaks around hoses, cap, and reservoir
