How to Do a Roundoff?

Start in a standing position with your arms by your sides or raised slightly

Take a few quick steps or a short run if needed for momentum

Lunge forward with your dominant leg

Reach both hands toward the floor

Place your hands on the ground one at a time, turning them so your fingers point sideways or slightly backward

Kick your back leg up and over your body

Bring your legs together in the air

Turn your body so you land facing the opposite direction

Push through your hands and shoulders as your legs pass overhead

Snap your legs down together to land on both feet

Land with your knees slightly bent

Finish with your arms up for balance

Practice on a soft surface with a spotter if needed
