How To Install Garage Door Opener?

Gather the opener, rail, trolley, motor unit, header bracket, door bracket, safety sensors, wall control, remote, hardware, and tools

Disconnect power and close the garage door

Check that the door is balanced and moves smoothly

Assemble the rail and trolley according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Attach the header bracket above the center of the garage door opening

Mount the motor unit to the ceiling using the provided hanging brackets

Connect the rail to the header bracket and motor unit

Attach the door bracket to the top section of the garage door

Connect the trolley arm to the door bracket

Install the safety sensors on both sides of the door near the floor

Run and secure the sensor wiring and wall control wiring

Install the wall control inside the garage

Connect all wires to the opener terminals

Install the light bulbs and cover if included

Adjust the chain, belt, or screw drive tension as required

Set the opener travel limits and force settings

Program the remote controls and keypad if included

Test the door opening and closing operation

Test the safety reversal system and sensor alignment

Tighten all fasteners and secure loose wiring

Restore power and verify normal operation
