Measure the brown rice
Rinse the rice until the water runs mostly clear
Add the rinsed rice to the rice cooker
Add water using the brown rice ratio on your cooker or about 2 to 2.5 cups water per 1 cup brown rice
Close the lid
Select the brown rice setting if available
Start the rice cooker
Let the rice cook until the cycle finishes
Let the rice sit with the lid closed for 10 to 15 minutes
Fluff the rice with a fork
Serve immediately
