Gently mix until just combined
Form the mixture into patties
Chill the patties for 20 to 30 minutes
Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat
Cook the crab cakes for 3 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown
Drain on paper towels
Serve warm with lemon wedges or sauce
