Let the engine cool completely
Open the hood and locate the coolant reservoir
Check the coolant level against the MIN and MAX marks
If needed, slowly remove the reservoir cap
Add the correct coolant type recommended by the vehicle manufacturer
Pour coolant in slowly until it reaches the MAX line
Do not overfill
If the reservoir is empty, also check the radiator only when the engine is fully cool
Reinstall the cap securely
Close the hood
Start the engine and let it run briefly
Recheck the coolant level after the engine cools again
