Open the blinds fully
Remove any valance or decorative cover
Locate the mounting brackets
Open the bracket doors or release tabs
Lift the headrail out of the brackets
If needed, unscrew the brackets from the wall or window frame
Remove any remaining screws or anchors
Take down the blinds carefully
Patch any holes if desired
