Clean and dry the shoulder skin
Round the corners of the tape
Cut one long strip and one or two shorter strips if needed
Sit or stand with the shoulder relaxed
Anchor the first end of the tape near the upper arm without stretch
Apply the tape over the shoulder with light to moderate stretch
Rub the tape to activate the adhesive
For a second strip, anchor it across the shoulder or along the back of the shoulder with no stretch at the ends
Avoid stretching the last 1 to 2 inches of each end
Smooth the tape down firmly
Move the shoulder gently to check comfort and placement
Remove the tape if irritation, numbness, or increased pain occurs
