Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper
Cook pasta until al dente, then reserve some pasta water
Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat
Add minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant
Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque
Pour in white wine or chicken broth and lemon juice
Add red pepper flakes if desired
Toss in cooked pasta and a little reserved pasta water
Stir in more butter and chopped parsley
Serve immediately with lemon wedges if desired
