Measure the rice
Put the rice in a bowl
Rinse the rice with cold water
Swirl gently and drain the water
Repeat rinsing until the water is less cloudy
Drain the rice well
Add the rice to a pot or rice cooker
Add the correct amount of water
Let the rice soak for 20 to 30 minutes
Cook the rice
Let the rice rest after cooking
Fluff the rice with a rice paddle or fork
Serve warm
