Cut a long strip of paper about 1/2 inch wide
Tie one end into a loose knot
Flatten the knot into a pentagon shape
Tuck the short end into the knot
Wrap the long end around the pentagon
Keep wrapping until the strip is used up
Tuck the remaining end into a pocket
Gently pinch each side of the pentagon
Press the edges inward to form points
Shape the star evenly with your fingers
