How To Remove Gel Polish?

Clip the gel polish with a nail clipper or rough file to reduce thickness

File the top glossy layer gently with a coarse nail file (avoid filing into your natural nails)

Soak cotton pads in acetone and place them on each nail

Wrap each finger with aluminum foil to hold the acetone-soaked pads in place

Wait 10–15 minutes

Check one nail; if gel is lifting, remove the foil and cotton pads

Gently push off softened gel with a cuticle pusher or wooden stick

If gel remains, re-soak for another 5–10 minutes and repeat

Remove any leftover residue by lightly buffing with a fine buffer

Wash hands and nails with soap and water to remove acetone

Apply cuticle oil and a moisturizing hand cream

Avoid picking or peeling gel off when it’s not fully softened
