Gather tools: steamer or heat gun, plastic razor/scraper, ammonia-free adhesive remover (or isopropyl alcohol), microfiber cloths, trash bags, gloves, and safety glasses
Park the vehicle in a shaded, ventilated area
Lower the window fully (if possible)
Heat the tint edges until the adhesive softens (do not overheat the glass)
Lift a corner of the film using a plastic razor
Pull the film back slowly at a low angle while reheating as needed
Spray adhesive remover or alcohol on remaining adhesive during removal
Scrape softened adhesive gently with a plastic scraper
Wipe with microfiber cloth to remove residue
Repeat heating, peeling, and adhesive cleaning until fully removed
Clean the glass with glass cleaner and a final alcohol wipe to ensure no residue remains
Dispose of removed film in a trash bag
